Ancora su "La lunga notte di Victor Kowalsky"...

Quella che vedete sopra è una piccolissima anteprima di una scena de La lunga notte di Victor Kowalsky, tratta dallo Storyboard realizzato da Lorenzo Bittini. Così, per darvi un primissimo assaggio. 

Tra gli "antipasti" che vi vogliamo offrire oggi, però, vi raccontiamo un po' come procedono le cose nel fermento della pre-produzione... Innanzitutto abbiamo trovato un bellissimo spazio in cui girare (N. B. l'opera sarà, quasi interamente, ambientata in una casa); esso è ancora completamente spoglio, ma nelle prossime settimane verrà svolto un importante lavoro di scenografia, per allestire un'ambientazione adatta all'atmosfera e alla storia che il corto si prefigge di creare. La sfida è quella di dare vita ad un ambiente "casalingo" che rifletta le paure e le ossessioni di Victor... un ambiente che, in effetti, di ciò che noi comunemente intendiamo con "casalingo" possiede però ben poco... 

Vi informiamo, inoltre, che a breve sarà messo on-line il nuovo sito, dedicato a tante belle, nuove notizie su questo progetto firmato Essi Girano... Ci saranno delle novità sugli "strumenti" di cui desideriamo avvalerci per la produzione di questa ambiziosa opera... ma vi renderemo partecipi della nostra sfida nei prossimi post! What you see above is a very little preview of a scene from The Long Night of Victor Kowalsky, from the storyboard realized by Lorenzo Bittini. Just to give you a little taste.

As appetizers we offer you, we' re gonna tell you how things are going, here in the middle of the pre-production... First of all, we found the perfect location (note: almost all of the movie will be set in a house). It's still completely empty, but we will start our scenography work in the next weeks, creating a set to fit with the atmosphere and the story that we want our movie to have. Creating a “domestic” setting to reflect Victor's fears and obsessions is our challenge. Oh well, actually this setting won't be that “domestic”, at least not in the sense we usually think “domestic” is...

Soon our new site will be online, with much more news on this new Essi Girano project. There will be news about the “how” we want to produce this challenging work... But we will reveal more in the next posts.

Inizia l'avventura de "La lunga notte di Victor Kowalsky"...

Victor Kowalsky non riesce a dormire: nell'oscurità della sua sudicia e ammuffita camera da letto, il rumore degli scarafaggi che brulicano tra le travi del soffitto lo disturba. Forse si tratta solo di un sogno... Solamente in un incubo, del resto, può accadere che un insetto gigante ci parli di fronte al nostro letto. E questo è proprio ciò che accade a Victor. Ma gli incubi non finiscono mai, anche quando sembra di svegliarsi e di ritornare alla propria "normale" esistenza... Un volto emerge dalla penombra, tumefatto come un cadavere, un’altra voce dalle tenebre che ricorda una terribile verità… E Victor dovrà fare i conti con i propri fantasmi, nella sua lunga, lunga notte...

Questo è solo un piccolo assaggio di ciò che l'Associazione Essi Girano sta preparando per voi: un corto horror, la storia di un incubo. La lunga notte di Victor Kowalsky. 

La nuova produzione firmata EG è basata su un racconto di Claudio Fallani e sarà diretta, ovviamente, dal nostro Presidente Stefano Poggioni. Attualmente siamo nel bel mezzo della pre-produzione e tutto ciò significa provini per una parte del cast, progettazione degli effetti speciali e dei set ecc. La realizzazione del corto è prevista per marzo. 

Con quest'opera Essi Girano si è lanciata in una nuova sfida, diversa da quelle a cui finora era abituata. Prima di tutto si tratta di un cortometraggio ambizioso, sia per quanto riguarda gli effetti speciali che per quanto riguarda la regia, la fotografia, la scenografia, la recitazione... L'Associazione e suoi membri si sono dedicati comunque con entusiasmo a questa nuova avventura, con la fiducia e la volontà di essere all'altezza delle proprie (e delle vostre) aspettative. Ma le novità non sono finite qui. Per ora però non vogliamo anticiparvi niente... A breve saranno fornite tutte le indicazioni necessarie per sostenere questa produzione! Victor Kowalsky cannot sleep: in the darkness of his dirty and moulded bedroom, the sound of roaches swarming in the girders of the roof is disturbing him. Maybe it's just a dream... And anyhow, it's just in a nightmare that you can find a giant bug talking to you in front of your bed. And that's just what's happening to Victor. But nightmares never end, even when you think you're awake, returning to your "normal" existence... And Victor will have to face his ghosts, in his long, long night...

This is just a little taste of what Essi Girano is getting ready for you: a horror short film, the tale of a nightmare. The Long Night of Victor Kowalsky.

This new EG production is based upon a short story by Claudio Fallani, and will be directed by our President Stefano Poggioni. These days we're in the middle of the pre-production, meaning auditions for the cast, design of the FXs, sets etc. We are planning to shoot in March.

With this project, Essi Girano accepts a new challenge, so different from those it has faced so far. It's a challenging short film, both for the FXs and for directing, cinematography, scenography, acting etc.

Our Association and its members are going with enthusiasm in this new adventure, with the confidence and the will to keep up with our (and your) expectations. But these aren't all the news. We don't want to reveal anything in advance for now... Soon you will be given all the information to support this production.
